Calvary Academy

consists of multi-grade level classrooms with a classroom teacher.  All teachers have experience working with children and show competency in academic areas.  Volunteers are screened and asked to sign an agreement with our beliefs, rules, and philosophy.

Elementary grades use the A Beka curriculum for core areas such as Language Arts and Math.  These subjects are taught by individual grade levels.  Our focus at the elementary level is on foundational skills such as phonics, reading comprehension, spelling, grammar rules, math facts, and problem solving procedures.  Bible, History, Science, and Health are taught in the elementary using a multi-grade level unit approach.

The junior high and high school grades also use the A Beka curriculum for core subject areas.  Some courses are traditionally taught, while others incorporate a video set-up.  Electives are offered dependent on enrollment numbers and availability of teachers.
